Note: These budget figures do not include the costs of building the front deck, storage shed, and carport as shown in the photographs above. These structures as well as the mobile home itself in fact had to be relocated. This was due to zoning restrictions in our area which only allow mobile homes to be used as a temporary residence while building a regular home and then only for 18 months. We did not correctly understand these restrictions... see our special page devoted to things to avoid in building your own home.(We are at least happy to report that the stucco stayed on the sides of our mobile home when it was moved to another location.)
